Abstract: The article considers the conditions for the development of the grain-food chain on the example of organizations in the Tambov region, analyzes the effectiveness of the functioning of the grain-product sub complex of the agro industrial complex of the Tambov region. The results of the analysis showed that it has high economic potential. In general, the economic efficiency of the grain and food chain of the agro-industrial complex of the Tambov region for the period 2020-2022 is characterized by cost-effective production.
