Abstract: he purpose of the article is to conduct a statistical analysis of the consumption of meat and meat products in Russia based on a study of retrospective time series. To achieve this goal, the following methods were used: monographic, abstract-logical, analysis and synthesis, as well as mathematical and statistical methods. The results of the study showed that over the period 1990-2022. the structure of the livestock stock has changed, a trend has been identified for its decline, which causes a change in the volume of meat production, the replacement of its species - cattle meat replaces poultry meat. The average Russian consumption of meat and meat products has a progressive trend in the interval 1928-2022, with several periods of decline. At the end of the reporting period, the indicator reaches 94.2 kg per capita, which is higher than the established standards of 73 kg per year. However, significant differences are recorded in the regional context for 2021. Especially low values are observed in the North Caucasus Federal District. The identified fact allowed to test the hypothesis of a strong correlation of consumption and living standards, which was confirmed. Thus, it is possible to make a general conclusion on the growth of meat consumption and meat products in Russia, while there is a high variation in consumption by regions, a change in the consumption structure towards an increase in poultry meat.
