Abstract: The article gives an assessment of the current state and the main trends in the development of the meat market in the USA. Based on statistics from the OECD and FAO, an analysis of the dynamics of meat production and consumption in the United States was carried out. The main factors influencing the formation of supply and demand in the market are determined. The main directions of state support for meat and meat products producers are analyzed. The Covid-19 pandemic has significantly affected meat production, supply chain and meat prices in the United States. Solving the problems caused by the socio-economic crisis requires a systematic approach. The Administration of the US President has tightened regulations on American meat processing enterprises. Government regulation of the meat market is aimed at ensuring compliance with antitrust laws, stimulating competition and supporting American farmers, as well as countering speculation on a pandemic that harms consumers, farmers and ranchers across the country
