Abstract: The article studies the current state and defines its prospects of beekeeping in the Irkutsk region. The importance of the structure transformation of state management of the beekeeping industry has been determined. Possible ways of improving the beekeeping industry are proposed. They are connected with the need to increase the production and marketing of bee products through the development of cooperation between private beekeepers and agricultural organizations. It is offered to process and realize honey specially created joint processing organization.
