Abstract: Improving national competitiveness, ensuring stable economic and technological development and the formation of human capital is impossible without the development of the export potential of Russian industries. Today, the possibility of the presence of certain regions of the Russian Federation in the world markets determines the attitude to their export potential as a measure of the competitiveness of products in international trade. The article presents the author's definition of the export potential of the agri-food market, schematically displays regional indicators and resources that stimulate export potential, identifies promising areas of state assistance to the export potential of the agri-food market, and provides recommendations for further export development.
