Abstract: Steady production of grain and products of his processing is a basis of food security of the country and an important component of tax revenues when forming budgets of all levels. A research objective is to reveal the main structural transformations in production in use of grain in Krasnodar Krai. It is shown that transformational processes by production of grain in the region were shown in the steady growth of acreage of grain crops, change of the structure of sown areas and increase in single-crop crops of food and fodder grain due to expansion of crops of a winter wheat and corn, change of borders of land use of farms. The conclusion is drawn that the grain farm of the southern regions of the country carries narrow export orientation despite the remaining high dependence of the country on import of dairy and meat products. Fertile soils of Kuban are mercilessly operated to please to short-term benefits of tactical character. Grain production of Krasnodar Krai is characterized by the highest level of intensification in comparison with other regions. Rational maintaining regional systems of agriculture taking into account internal need of the population for food and strengthening of positions of Russia on export of products of deep processing of raw materials is necessary.
