Abstract: A research objective is to give an assessment of the main indicators of production of olive flax in Russia along with other niche oil-bearing crops. During the research the structure of sown areas of olive flax is reflected in various categories of farms, the position of this culture in marketing and in a foreign trade turnover of fat-and-oil products of Russia is revealed; the countries importers of olive flax and their share in the Russian export are specified. Main technological features of cultivation of olive flax: the high need for moisture, superficial seal at crops, and also need of careful protection of plants against weeds. Examples of work of the companies on production and processing of olive flax in various regions of the country are given. In the long term development of production of products of processing of olive flax requires seed farming development, reconstruction of elevator for expansion of opportunities of completion and storage of seeds of olive flax, development of refinery capacities for receiving various adjacent products of processing.
