Abstract: Questions of reliability of forecasting of development of grain production in the country are considered and the main reasons for low probability of a forecast success rate of forecasts, mainly due to deficiency of the allocated resources are opened that doesn't give the chance more in an expedited manner to expand acreage of grain crops and to increase their productivity. However, despite gradual adaptation of producers of grain to market conditions of managing, it wasn't succeeded to break radically a situation to the best in production and realization of grain even at essential strengthening by the country of the positions at world grain level yet. Therefore the question of a possibility of grain production by the country of this or that volume consists not in the accuracy of its definition, and in for what period it can be reached depending on what way the grain farm will develop. It is necessary to increase production of grain at simultaneous reduction of its irrational use on seed and especially on the fodder purposes, increase in supply of competitive and high-quality grain at the world market. Production of grain in the country should be increased steadily due to mobilization of both extensive and intensive factors, at the same time involving natural, innovative and investment advantages of development of domestic grain farm.
