Abstract: In article features of an assessment of intellectual property in agriculture are considered, objective need and economic feasibility of formalization of results of intellectual activity and research and development for agrarian and industrial complex is proved. As an example calculation of cost of the patent for a preparation with selenium for animal husbandry by method of release from a royalty and through coefficient of individual share is executed. For a solution of the problem of monetization of intellectual property it is necessary harmonizations of legislative and tax base, and also educational practice to inform to subjects of business activity need of accumulation of cost of the company in general.
