Abstract: The paper presents an assessment of the production and economic sustainability of an enterprise using a conservation agriculture (CA) system, which is a set of agricultural technology solutions aimed at preserving soil fertility, rationally using resources, and ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production in the face of increasing climatic and economic risks. The CA system is based on three interrelated principles: minimal mechanical impact on the soil (including direct seeding or no-till), constant maintenance of vegetation on the soil surface, the use of diversified crop rotations using cover and green manure crops, and the use of microbiological preparations for plant protection and nutrition. Assessing the economic efficiency of the CA system involves a comprehensive approach that considers not only crop yields and production costs but also the sustainability of production. Using economic and statistical analysis methods, an assessment of crop yields and economic and social performance indicators of enterprises in the Samara Region was conducted. It has been established that the primary advantage of the CA system is ensuring the production and economic sustainability of the enterprise, more efficient use of resources, and increased adaptability to climatic and economic risks. When analyzing production costs, it is necessary to consider the enterprise's production strategy, as their level is largely determined not only by the technology used but also by production goals: growing high-quality products (including seeds or grain with improved characteristics) requires more intensive use of resources compared to the production of lower-quality products or feed. The main areas for improving the effectiveness of the CA system have been identified, those are biologization of farming, improvement of crop rotations, expanded use of cover crops, and enhanced scientific support.
