Abstract: The article is devoted to the analysis of changes in Russia's foreign economic activity in the context of a radical transformation of the system of international relations. Based on the analysis of statistical data and expert assessments, the formation of a new geography of Russia's foreign trade is considered with an emphasis on the accelerated development of cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. The purpose of the work is to identify the main trends and systemic problems accompanying the reorientation of Russian foreign economic relations. Against the background of sanctions pressure and the disruption of traditional logistics and financial chains, old challenges are being reproduced (commodity dependence on exports, technological isolation in critical areas, currency risks) and systemic problems in the field of foreign economic activity are worsening. The success of Russia's adaptation to the new world order depends not so much on a change of partners as on solving internal structural constraints, including export diversification, the creation of independent payment mechanisms and the modernization of institutions to support the foreign economic activity of domestic producers.
