Abstract: The article discusses the current features and directions of development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan in the agro-industrial complex. The development of cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan is based on long-standing historical ties and strategic initiatives within the Eurasian Economic Union. The formation of bilateral cooperation initiatives in the agro-industrial complex is driven by several factors: the close proximity of the two countries, which share the longest border zone, the continuation of agricultural ties established during the socialist era, common challenges in both crop production and livestock farming, the need for innovative transport and logistics infrastructure, and more. As agricultural countries, Russia and Kazakhstan are striving to integrate their scientific and production potential in order to ensure the development of all areas and sectors of agriculture and to ensure the competitiveness of their agricultural products in the global market.
