Abstract: The relevance of the research is determined by the need to solve a set of problems, including low level of innovation, lag in the development and implementation of new and promising technologies, insufficient investments in the agricultural production sector, uneven spatial development of agro-industrial regions of the Russian Federation and their increasing differentiation in terms of the level and pace of socio-economic development. The purpose of the study is to determine the prospects for using the technology brokerage mechanism in the innovative development and spatial network interaction of agro-industrial regions of Russia. The materials for writing the article were scientific publications by Russian and foreign authors on the subject of research, regulatory acts in the field of agriculture and scientific and technological development, ratings of Russian agro-industrial regions. The research uses a historical, evolutionary and systematic approach, retrospective, comparative and monographic content analysis, methods of grouping, generalization and systematization. The article examines the genesis and evolution of the technology brokerage concept in Russia and abroad. The functional and role characteristics of technology brokers in spatial and network interactions of agro-industrial regions within the framework of world-class scientific and educational centers as innovation and technological networks are determined. The directions of innovative-technological spatial-network interaction and the dominant functions of technology brokers in the agro-industrial regions of Russia are substantiated.
