Abstract: In article different theoretical concepts and practical recipes of improvement of an economic mechanism are analyzed. The search purpose - creation of conditions for optimum long-term strategy of growth, for the effective solution of structural economic problems, overcoming of bottlenecks and disproportions in a national economy. The author considers existing problems in agriculture: lack of the production resources constraining development of production; differentiation in production efficiency and consumption volumes between segments of the population, disparity of the prices, vicious credit policy, vulnerability of domestic market from food intervention. Considering concept of efficiency, the author notes that production efficiency depends not so much on form of ownership, how many on the organization of production, its intensification, the sizes of economy, system of regulation of the economic relations, quality of management, a skill level of shots. It is possible to achieve sustained economic growth only thanks to new equipment and to labor productivity increase. Development isn't reduced to the concept "economic growth", and includes the most important conditions of full-fledged life of the people: stability of building of a public product, ensuring available education, safety, defense capability strengthening, and, therefore, and image of the country. Thus interests of separate farms (to receive a maximum of gross and net income) can not coincide with interests of society. Their decisions can non-optimal be more whole from a point of sight than the branch organization as a whole.
