Abstract: The present paper introduces a comprehensive approach to assessing the impact of geopolitical instability on the economic security of Russian agro-industrial enterprises. It demonstrates that threats are associated not only with restrictions on the import of foreign resources and the export of Russian products, but also with the restructuring of the Russian market caused by the departure of foreign companies. This restructuring has led to the need to ensure the continued operation of enterprises, in some cases despite the resistance of their owners. The paper demonstrates that in the context of geopolitical instability, economic security management at agro-industrial enterprises should be aimed at ensuring national economic and food security. Under these conditions, the role of the state as an actor not only in sectoral economic security but also in the economic security of individual agro-industrial enterprises is becoming more important.
