Abstract: The article is part of a series of publications examining various aspects of Russian exports of plant products to the Greater Altai countries (Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia), whose growing role as trading partners of the Russian Federation is most clearly manifested as a reflection of the Asian vector of development of Russian agricultural exports. The purpose of this article is to form a holistic view of the system for assessing the directions of export of plant products with the adaptation of a methodological approach for the export of oilseeds and fruits. The study of the product structure of the world and Russian exports of oilseeds and fruits to the Greater Altai countries is limited to four commodity groups, in the market of which Russian exporters have traditionally had a high competitive position. The vision of the system for assessing the directions of export of plant products proposed by the authors made it possible to form a holistic idea of ​​​​the assessment of export positions, dividing them into three groups - antifragile, fragile and superfragile. The testing carried out during the study of global and Russian exports of oilseeds and fruits to Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia (2018-2024) gives grounds to consider the export positions of the Russian Federation in the group of oilseeds and fruits to the specified countries of the Greater Altai (Kazakhstan, China and Mongolia) as fragile, which creates risks for export activities in attractive markets for oilseeds and fruits in terms of demand and necessitates the development of a set of measures to overcome them.
