Abstract: In the article it has been revealed that all economic indicators within the framework of the food embargo indicate a trend of sustainable growth. The volumes of production of cereals and leguminous crops, oilseeds, potatoes, sugar beet and closed and open ground vegetables in 2020/2024 have been determined and it has been revealed that all economic indicators within the framework of the food embargo have multidirectional trends. The volumes of pork, beef, mutton and poultry meat production in 2020/2024 were determined and it was revealed that all economic indicators of livestock production within the framework of the food embargo have a steady growth trend. The article reveals the key features of the functioning of agricultural and livestock organisations and identifies the main problems of the Russian agro-industrial complex enterprises under sanctions pressure. It is concluded that operational efficiency and resource sustainability act as tactical tools used to assess the effectiveness of the final results of management of the Russian agro-industrial complex enterprises operating under sanctions. In this regard, the industrial base of agricultural and livestock enterprises of the Russian agro-industrial complex should function on the integrated interrelations of science, production, education, agricultural and livestock clusters, qualified personnel and active measures of state support.
