Abstract: The relevance of the research is determined by the need to provide food and fill the domestic market with fresh fruits and processed products. The time period of the study covers 2015-2024. The following positive trends have been identified in the development of regional industrial horticulture: an increase in government support, an increase in the total area of perennial fruit and berry plantations, gross harvest, and yield. It was noted that, despite the positive results, there remain problems of ensuring the sustainable development of the sub-sector and increasing the profitability of the production activities of agricultural organizations. There is a gradual increase in indicators of self-sufficiency in fruits (72,0%) and per capita consumption in villages (83,1 kg). The factors that influenced the physical and economic accessibility of fruits are analyzed. It was revealed that the average per capita consumption of fruits does not meet the recommended rational consumption standards. The availability of stationary retail facilities has increased significantly in the republic, but the lack of agricultural consumer cooperatives and weak transport infrastructure limit the physical availability of local products on the regional market. The observed increase in household incomes does not cover the cost of food, including fruit, which remains an economically inaccessible product for low-income families. The main directions of increasing the production potential of industrial horticulture in the republic are revealed: expansion of land areas, intensification of production, carrying out land reclamation works, creation of breeding centers and fruit nurseries, construction of commodity distribution infrastructure. The practical results obtained during the research can be used as the basis for the justification of strategic objectives and regional policy for the further development of industrial horticulture and the canning industry of the republic.
