Abstract: The article argues that the system of public administration adopted in Russia does not have significant potential, and therefore will not ensure the competitiveness of the economy and the quality of life of the population. It is concluded that the main reason for this is the lack of a "feedback" mechanism that allows society to influence the government in order to prioritize public policy interests. The insufficient level of the economy is explained by the fact that government programs and other documents lack a mechanism that meets this requirement. To solve this problem, using the example of the agro-industrial complex, an algorithm is proposed, taking into account which will contribute to the multiplication of the wealth of Russia and its people.
