Abstract: At the present stage of development, agrarian policy is shaped by a number of comprehensive measures related to the production, economic and social activities of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas. Special attention is paid to the strategy of spatial development of agrarian policy in the field of agricultural and rural growth, ensuring food security and independence of the country, and the formation of an improved management system. The formulated goals, objectives and ways of their implementation in the context of the functioning of agrarian policy will contribute to the socio-economic development of agro-industrial business and rural areas, increase the competitiveness of domestic agricultural products and the growth of Russian agricultural producers associated with the provision of sufficient quantities of high-quality food, raw materials and foodstuffs, as well as effective management of the agro-industrial sector.
