Abstract: Financing remains one of the most pressing investment policy issues in agriculture. High interest rates on loans, difficulties with access to budgetary funds and limited opportunities for private investment hinder the development of the agar sector of the economy. Instability of government support and frequently changing rules and limits, unpredictability of government regulation destabilize the investment climate, which leads to a decrease in the attractiveness of agriculture. A feature of this study is the analysis of investments in fixed assets of agricultural organizations as an integral part of increasing agricultural production and ensuring food security in Russia. The presented study examines the current state and prospects of investment policy in agriculture in Russia. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the current approach to attracting and using investments in the agricultural sector. The study argues the main reasons for the low investment activity of agricultural organizations, formulated the goal, tasks and mechanisms of a promising investment policy for agriculture.
