Abstract: The relevance of the study is due to the need to overcome territorial imbalances in the investment development of rural areas in the Russian Far East and to enhance their role in ensuring the country’s food and economic security. The purpose of the research is to identify spatial differences in the investment potential of rural territories in the Russian Far East. The study analyzes the features of economic development, the structure of capital investments, and the impact of implemented investment projects on the development of the region’s agro-industrial complex. The research methodology includes the analysis of literature sources and statistical data, as well as the use of structural-logical, comparative, and spatial-dynamic approaches, which allow for assessing both the current situation and the dynamics of changes at the regional level. The results of the study demonstrate that the investment potential of rural areas in the Far Eastern Federal District has a pronounced spatial character: the highest activity is observed in Primorsky and Amur regions, while northern and remote territories remain weakly involved in investment processes. The practical significance lies in the possibility of applying the obtained conclusions in the development of regional development strategies, state support programs for rural areas, and investment initiatives. The study concludes that a comprehensive approach - including infrastructure development, formation of agro-industrial clusters, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, the implementation of innovative technologies, and the improvement of state support mechanisms - can help to mitigate existing disparities and form a stable foundation for balanced investment and socio-economic development of rural spaces in the macroregion.
