Abstract: The purpose of the study is to determine the prospects for the development of aquaculture in Russia using forms of public-private partnership (hereinafter – PPP). The methodological basis of the research consists of synthesis and analysis methods, logical and matrix methods, as well as a systematic approach. Main research results: substantiation of the need for the development of PPP aquaculture; identification of promising forms of classical and non-classical PPP for use in aquaculture, with disclosure of their essential content, advantages and disadvantages, as well as the construction of a matrix of the prevailing influence on achieving affordable prices and high quality of aquaculture products; development of practical recommendations for the formation and further development of domestic fish farming practice of PPP application. The theoretical significance of the research lies in the development of the scientific foundations of PPP in aquaculture, and the practical significance lies in the use of the results obtained in the development and implementation of fish farming PPP projects.
