Abstract: For agro-oriented regions, which include the Altai Territory, products corresponding to the specifics of the region, including products of plant origin (taking into account the focus on ensuring food security of the region and the country) are of particular importance. The involvement of regions in the export of this type of product has been growing in recent years. The choice of the Greater Altai countries (Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia) as importers of plant products by the authors is not accidental, since they represent fairly fast-growing markets for this type of product, including from the Altai Territory, which plays the main role out of the three Russian entities that make up the Greater Altai (the Altai Republic, the Tyva Republic, and the Altai Territory). For a comparative analysis of the prospects for export directions of the subjects of the Russian Federation, the authors applied a system of relative indicators (coefficients), dividing them into three blocks. The first block is the attractiveness of the importing country as an export destination for the group of plant products; the second block is a comparative analysis of the regional export potential (the block assesses the potential competitiveness of a particular region in world markets compared to others); the third block is a retrospective analysis of regional exports. The authors focused special attention on the first two blocks, since this article is a continuation of a series of works devoted to various aspects of research, analysis and assessment of plant product export destinations by Altai Krai to the Greater Altai countries. The purpose of this publication is to form a systemic understanding of the assessment of the prospects of regional plant product export destinations. In this regard, the proposed system of indicators (coefficients) will allow making more balanced management decisions (at different levels of the hierarchy), including those related to differentiated state support for exporters.
