Abstract: This study analyzes current problems and promising areas for the development of agriculture in Russia until 2030. The article considers key challenges of the industry, including climate change, deterioration of infrastructure, personnel shortage, and dependence on imported technologies, seeds, fertilizers and equipment. Promising areas for the development of the agricultural sector are identified, such as digitalization, introduction of innovative technologies, greening of production, support for small and medium-sized farms, and development of agro-industrial clusters, strengthening of state support and attracting investment. Particular attention is paid to measures aimed at increasing the resilience of the agricultural sector to climate change, modernization of agricultural infrastructure, introduction of precision farming and biotechnology, export stimulation and development of logistics. A factor analysis was carried out; key drivers of growth in the agro-industrial complex were identified, including the impact of investments, innovations and export potential. Forecast models of industry development are presented, taking into account macroeconomic, technological and environmental trends. Mechanisms for increasing food security, improving working conditions in rural areas and expanding international cooperation are also considered. A conclusion is made about the need for a comprehensive approach combining state support, technological solutions and sustainable development of agriculture in the context of global challenges.
