Abstract: An assessment of the level of its digital transformation is a necessary tool for understanding the current state of the industry, identifying opportunities for improvement and defining strategies for further development. The assessment allows you to identify how successfully technologies are being implemented, what results they bring, at what stage of digital transformation the evaluated object is located and what steps need to be taken in order to move to the next level of development. A complete picture of the state of digital transformation in agriculture will be provided by an integral indicator reflecting an assessment of the technological infrastructure, the use of digital tools, the level of personnel qualifications, and the level of production efficiency. The integral indicator will provide an opportunity to compare the level of digital transformation between different regions, districts or enterprises. This will help identify best practices and identify a set of measures aimed at advancing the digital transformation process. Defining an integral indicator of digital transformation in agriculture is an important step towards creating a sound assessment system. The authors propose a comprehensive approach to the development of an integral indicator, which includes both quantitative and qualitative parameters reflecting the level of digital transformation of processes in agriculture. An analysis method has been developed to identify the key parameters of the development of digital transformation facilities. Recommendations have been developed on the formation of a system of indicators characterizing the estimated values of each stage of digital transformation, which will allow not only to determine the current level of digital transformation, but also to predict further changes in the agricultural sector. The results of the research can be used for practical application in the framework of strategic planning in the field of agriculture.
