Abstract: The article presents a methodology for assessing the economic coherence of inter-industry interaction in the agro-industrial complex. According to the methodology the implicit nature of the required information, which is necessary for conducting empirical calculations, is taken into account. The assessment is based on the growth or decline rates of indicators, which are used to assess the inter-industry relations coherence of economic entities in the agro-industrial complex. Economic entities are distributed according to two criteria: a) by stages of goods distribution (agricultural, food and trade organizations); b) by categories of business entities (micro, small, medium and large). The alternative solutions are presented in this article, using socio-economic indicators (average monthly salary, sales profitability and tax burden). Analyzed period is a three-year period from 2020 to 2022. Sampling units are 85 regions of the Russian Federation (republic, territory, region). Information base includes data from the official website of the Federal Tax Service (FTS) of Russia. According to the methodology, structural changes in development rate of large, medium, small and micro-organizations were determined. This organizations were distributed in three classes of economic activity (agriculture, food industries and trade). Interregional differentiation was identified using a statistical assessment of indicators growth rate according to gradation (high, above average; medium; below average; low; critically low and absent). Regions have been identified (leaders were highlighted) with a direct and inverse relationship between the average rank and the estimates coherence of the growth rate in the socio-economic development. The size of organization (small, medium and large) and sphere of economic activity were taken into account.
