Abstract: Providing the population with domestic, high-quality food products is an important task of the regional agricultural policy. The analysis of agricultural products of the Penza region (in actual prices) and its structure was carried out, which showed that the largest share in the production of products is occupied by agricultural organizations. The level of self-sufficiency in agricultural products in the region was calculated, which showed that the level of meat provision is above the threshold value (in 2023 by 6.7 percentage points), and milk, potatoes, vegetables are below (in 2023 by 8.8, 3.8, 2.6 percentage points, respectively). In order to increase the efficiency of crop and livestock production in the region, innovative technologies such as agro-scouting, which is part of the "precision farming" system, and a comprehensive milk yield intensification program are used, which allows for a balanced animal feed ration and increases cow productivity. The use of all factors of sustainable agricultural development will contribute to increasing the efficiency of agricultural production in the region.
