Abstract: The purpose of the study is to identify challenges and possible drivers for realizing the export potential of the non-urbanized territories of the Far East using scenario forecasts. The paper analyzes the main obstacles standing in the way of export development and suggests ways to overcome them. Special attention is paid to the development and analysis of alternative scenarios for the realization of the export potential of the non-urbanized territories of the Far East. The research methodology covers the analysis of literary sources and statistical data, structural and dynamic assessment, SWOT analysis, as well as a comparative study of Russian and foreign experience. The results of the study showed that in order to realize the export potential of the non-urbanized territories of the Far East, it is necessary to focus on diversifying export directions and supporting industries with high potential to achieve competitive advantages in the international arena. The development of agriculture, the timber industry, the fisheries sector, as well as the introduction of innovative technologies and the development of tourism can significantly enhance the export potential of the non-urbanized territories of the Far East. The transition to a high-tech development scenario will allow the Far East not only to increase exports, but also to become a key player in high-tech sectors, ensuring sustainable economic development in the long term.
