Abstract: The article examines the features of the development of dairy cattle breeding in the Krasnoyarsk Territory for 2017-2022 and evaluates the location and specialization of dairy production entities in the region, considering the implementation of investment projects in the industry. It was revealed that among the five natural and climatic zones of the region, three (Western, Eastern and Southern) carry out more in-depth specialization. The development of the industry in the region is facilitated by the implementation of investment projects, of which 28 units were carried out in 2017-2022, 15 of them in the Southern natural and climatic zone. Based on a point assessment of the potential of the zones for the placement and specialization of economic entities – milk producers, it was determined that the Southern, Central and Eastern zones have high potential, the Western – medium, and the Northern – low.
