Abstract: In the Russian fisheries sector, there is an increase in the volume of fish catch and production. One of the areas with actively developing aquaculture and industrial fishing is the Novgorod region, the sustainable growth of which can be ensured with an integrated approach to increasing the production potential of the industry and creating conditions to stimulate its development. This growth opens up new opportunities for regional development and job creation, as well as contributes to meeting the needs of the population for high-quality fish and fish products. To propose options for improving the efficiency of the development of the fisheries complex of the Novgorod region, an analysis of its condition and measures of state support was carried out.
