Abstract: The paper presents the dynamics of agricultural production per capita in the regions of the Volga Federal District, highlights the advantages and disadvantages of agricultural production, the specialization of rural commodity producers. The achieved production parameters of the agricultural organizations of the district allow them to be classified according to different levels of development and to determine the priority directions of agricultural production.
