Abstract: The article touches upon the problem of low-carbon transformation of agro-food systems, its urgency, multidimensionality and multidisciplinarity. Based on foreign experience, the advantages of the synthesis of low-carbon transformation and digitalization in the agri-food sector are considered, the importance of digitalization for the sustainability and efficiency of food systems in the transformation process is emphasized. The authors noted that the transformation of complex systems is a complex process, the effectiveness of which depends on the foresight of possible threats and negative consequences, as well as the vulnerabilities of digitalization itself. The article systematizes modern threats and measures to counter them in modern Russian reality.
