Abstract: The article presents the results of a study of investments in the agro-industrial complex, identifies trends in the Siberian Federal District as a whole and its regions. On the example of the Kemerovo region – Kuzbass, the factors that have a significant impact on the development of the agro-industrial complex of the industrial region are systematized. It is established that the specifics of the region's economy slows down the development of the agro-industrial complex, since most of the investments are directed to the extractive and processing industries. In such conditions, the fundamental factor in the development of the agro-industrial complex of the region on an innovative basis is the creation of conditions for industrial enterprises - investors in the agro-industrial complex, which will attract investment in an industry that is of key importance for improving the quality of life of the population.
