Abstract: One of the research hypotheses is that the introduction of robotics in agriculture is driven by the desire to reduce the cost of wages and workers. The purpose of the study is to identify the dependence of the robotization of agriculture in the regions and federal districts on wages in the industry. In the course of the research, the analysis of the level of wages and the density of robotization by regions and federal districts was carried out. Four groups of regions were identified, and the ratio of the levels of robotization and wages was considered for them. The first group includes 9 regions with a high robotization density (more than 3.0 per 10 thousand workers), the second - 10 regions, the third - 13 regions with a low level of robotization, and the fourth - 53 regions that do not use robotics in agricultural production. It was found that in regions with the highest robotization density, wages are 20.4‰ higher than in regions where robotics is not used or where its use is at a low level. This may indicate that robots are being used to reduce the cost of wages for workers. The average level of correlation between the levels of wages in agriculture and the density of robotization of the industry is revealed.
