Abstract: The article is devoted to the participation of extension service in supporting business development in the agricultural sector of the Russian economy. Extension services operate in 70 regions of Russia. Their main tasks are to increase the competitiveness of the domestic agricultural sector, the development of territories, as well as improving the standard of living of the rural population. The current macroeconomic situation is characterized by dynamism and a high degree of uncertainty. This leaves a certain imprint on the management activities of rural commodity producers. Currently, Russia is implementing national projects aimed at ensuring the scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the country. In this situation, it is information and consulting organizations, acting as a kind of tool of agricultural policy, that assist in making informed decisions through consulting, informing and professional training. "Samara-ARIS" was established in 1997. The organization provides retraining and advanced training of rural producers conducts consultations on various management and production issues, conducts seminars, master classes, etc. The article presents the results of the work on the support of rural producers of the "Samara-ARIS".
