Abstract: The article proposes the main directions and mechanisms of state support for the scientific and technological development of agro-industrial sectors using the example of grain and its processing products. The main trends of innovative development of the agricultural sector of the Russian economy and structural elements of their implementation are considered. Definition of the state support of scientific and technological development of subsectors of the agrarian sector of national economy is given and her main forms are allocated: direct, indirect, mediated. The main directions of improving the efficiency of state support in the scientific and technological sphere are given. Possible relations between the participants of the cluster on deep processing of grain on the basis of public-private partnership are shown.
