Abstract: In article questions of formation of agrarian and industrial complex, its structure, structure and interindustry communications are considered. The period of formation of agrarian and industrial complex was characterized by growth of investments, transformation of separate fields of activity to independent branches: water management and melioration, rural construction, repair of equipment, etc. Consumption of food per capita grew, the agrarian and industrial complex made the increasing contribution to formation of national wealth of the country. However in connection with dissociation of branches of agrarian and industrial complex, absence of uniform control center of branches the complex didn't provide the expected results, the country lacked the food.
