Abstract: Each constituent entity of the Russian Federation contributes to ensuring the country's food security by actively participating in foreign economic activity on the export and import of agricultural products. This is especially true with the implementation of a modern policy of import substitution and ongoing measures in support of domestic agricultural producers. In the framework of this work, the authors analyzed the volume of agricultural production in the Russian Federation for 2014-2018. The dynamics of the volume of imports and exports of Russia for 2016-2018 is considered. A separate example of the republic of Bashkortostan presents foreign economic activity for the current year with the allocation of the share of imports and exports by CIS countries and foreign countries. The work also identifies priority areas for the development of agribusiness sectors in the republic for 2020.
