Abstract: Agriculture remains low-income because of a number of specific factors, and therefore need government support. Research objective is to reveal the directions of increase in efficiency of dairy cattle breeding in the agricultural organizations of Altai Krai. Results of the analysis of the level of development of dairy cattle breeding in the agricultural organizations of Altai Krai are presented. The set of the factors and conditions influencing effective development of branch have been considered. The analysis considered the following indicators: the average annual population, annual milk yield, gross milk production, offspring, cost, profitability, marketability and cost. The tendency reduction of a livestock of dairy herd is characteristic of edge, at the leading positions in production of milk. However, on efficiency Altai Krai lags behind a number of regions of Siberian Federal District - milk yield in general across the SFD 3.9‰ higher, than in Altai Krai. The direct dependence between milk yield and level of subsidizing of branch is noted. Improvement of a technique of subsidizing of increase in efficiency in dairy cattle breeding by accounting of personnel capacity of economy is offered. Qualitative staff and experts shall positively affect quantitative and quality indicators of efficiency of dairy cattle breeding of Altai Krai.
