Abstract: Production of s needs the state support due to the need of restoration of this subsector. Authors consider the state support of grape growing as system of measures and instruments of ensuring expanded reproduction of table and technical grapes which don't contradict requirements of the WTO. Among shortcomings of the existing mechanism of the state support of grape growing authors note reduction of volume of the allocated funds, a lack of integrity in implementation of the support program, the differentiated approach to support to farms, insufficiency of means at economic entities for maintenance of process of laying of new plantings and care of a young vineyard. The conclusion is drawn on need of correction of the pursued policy from the diversified principle of the state support on segmentary approach within the region, changes of a role of the state in placement and specialization of production of agricultural production in the country, a formation of the state order for production of agricultural production. Need of joint financing of capital investments and means of the consolidated budget for restoration of the areas of vineyards and ensuring innovative development of branch is noted. The state support in agriculture can be effective when it is combined with other tools of the economic mechanism and is applied with them in a complex.
