Abstract: There are factors of cultivation of corn in Kabardino-Balkar Republic. These are the climatic conditions favorable to cultivation of corn and high level the irrigated lands in republic satisfying watering an arable land. In article the main directions of increase of production efficiency of corn in Kabardino-Balkar Republic reveal. Offers on rational use of natural and resource potential by placement of cultivated areas on zones, improvement of structure of cultivated areas, introduction of adaptive and landscape systems of agriculture, optimum for cultivation of corn, are given. Introduction of innovative technologies and new hybrids will increase growth of labor productivity and will promote decrease in cost of production. The developed territorial division in production of corn and development of specialized zones in Kabardino-Balkar Republic are result of objective natural and economic factors. The production of hybrid seeds of corn isn't settled by determination of their volume, and has to be considered in respect of the territorial placement providing the maximum income of production with the minimum expenses of work and means. These actions in a complex will promote import substitution and will increase competitiveness of production of grain of corn in the agrofood market.
